Seems as we plod further and further into the 21^st century, professions are getting weirder and weirder.

Professional mourners are making till in Russia, the rental boyfriend business is doing numbers in Japan and dog food-tasting is a lucrative business wherever hounds can be found.

We've even heard disturbing reports of a cabal of sick freaks who spend their working life writing daft gubbins about menswear in the Greater Manchester area... but let's not talk about that.

The chap above has got a particularly odd occupation – employed by an all-inclusive resort in Benidorm, he's essentially a human sun-lounger-reserver, securing the optimum tanning spots for all the monied sun-seekers.

Why do you think he's wearing that towelling shirt? Everyone knows you can't reserve a sun-lounger without a towel.
